Lower Bush Farm CIC, Rural Skills Centre

School Leader, course, level 3, training, Shropshire

For several years, Shropshire council has funded farm placements for adults with learning difficulties, looked after teens, teens from PRUs, mainstream teens and holiday club for children with SEND.  Lower Bush Farm is also a micro provider for Telford & Wrekin Council's adult learning difficulties department.   If you wish to discuss a possible new placement or to be shown around with regards starting please ring us on 07734295144 or 07817666267 to arrange a time.

The farm has a huge variety of outdoor spaces to explore and learn from.  These include large ponds, newly planted woodland, ancient woodland, vegetable garden, two cider orchards, fields and hedgerows.

The animals are always a favourite as they give us plenty of laughs!  We have pigs, chickens, horses, goats, guinea pigs, rabbits, peacocks, sheep, degus, turtles,.....as well as an abundance of natural wildlife.

In addition to level 1 and level 1 OCN Land and Envrionment qualifications we welcome people that would benefit from assisted employment and confidence building through farm based tasks including daily groups for adults with learning difficulties.  Staff have experience of SEND and SEMH and are either qualified teachers, or experienced farm workers and all have DBS checks.
